Today Sebastian Kurz is no longer a politician, but an entrepreneur. He owns several companies and investments, earning his money through consulting and investments, among other things. His stake in the cybersecurity firm Dream is particularly valuable. But how much money does Sebastian Kurz actually earn? Which companies does he own, and what is known about his income? His private life also continually generates interest. Kurz lives with his longtime partner Susanne Thier and their two sons. At the same time, there is persistent speculation about a political comeback.

Which companies does Sebastian Kurz have?

By far Sebastian Kurz's most valuable company East Dream. Kurz founded the company 2023 together with Israeli entrepreneurs Shalev Hulio and Gil Dolev. Dream develops artificial intelligence programs designed to protect states, government agencies, and critical infrastructure such as energy suppliers from cyber attacks. In June In 2026, the company raised 260 million US dollars from investors and was subsequently valued at three billion dollars. According to its own statements, Kurz owns just under 15 percent of the company.

Besides this, Kurz has built several companies of his own in Austria. The center is formed by the SK Beteiligungs GmbH, which he owns 100 percent. Through this holding company, he owns, among other things, the SK Management GmbH. With her, Kurz began his work as a management consultant in early 2022. The company itself now holds stakes in other businesses.

SK Beteiligungs also includes the SK Liegenschaftsbeteiligungs GmbH, which manages real estate and assets, as well as the one founded in 2026 Fichte Invest GmbH. Through his companies, Kurz also holds stakes in other businesses, for example together with business partners in the fields of management consulting, investments, and start-ups.

Kurz is also active in business outside of Austria. Since 2023, he has owned the consulting firm Connect 2093 Management Consulting in Abu Dhabi. According to there, he is Emirati commercial register sole owner and managing director. His companies thus now form a network of consulting, investments, real estate, and technology. By far the greatest value, however, is his investment in Dream.

How does Sebastian Kurz make his money?

An important source of income for Sebastian Kurz is his management consultancy. Kurz founded SK Management in early 2022, a few weeks after his withdrawal from politics. One of the first publicly known clients was the US billionaire Peter Thiel. We have already reported extensively on Thiel and the political tech network surrounding Sebastian Kurz here.. According to his own statements, Kurz no longer worked for him. Who his consulting firm's clients are today and how much they pay for his services is largely not publicly known. One of the best-known former

By contrast, one that became well-known was Business with René Benko's Signa Group. In 2023, SK Management helped in the search for a new investor. According to media reports, this investor put in 100 million euros. Kurz's company invoiced a success fee of 2.5 million euros for this. At the time, however, only one million euros of this had been paid. Kurz thus profited from brokering capital for a corporation that collapsed shortly thereafter.

His political contacts are also economically valuable. As Federal Chancellor, Kurz had built relationships with heads of government, investors, and companies in Europe, Israel, and the Gulf states. After leaving politics, he was able to use this network for his work as a consultant and entrepreneur.

Meanwhile, however, Kurz doesn't just earn his money from consulting. He holds stakes in several companies. Dream is particularly important: according to his own statements, Kurz owns just under 15 percent of the cybersecurity company. That makes him very wealthy on paper. However, how much money Dream actually pays him as a salary, profit, or distribution is not publicly known.

What is Sebastian Kurz's income?

How much Sebastian Kurz earns personally is not publicly known. However, the figures of his companies show that his businesses yield millions. Alone the SK Management made a net profit of around 1.9 million euros in 2022. In 2023, it was around 3.9 million, and in 2024 another 2.38 million euros. In three years, that will be a total of more than eight million euros.

However, that does not mean Kurz personally received this money. Company profits are not a salary. They can remain in the business, be invested, or be distributed to the owners. Furthermore, since 2024, SK Management no longer belongs directly to Kurz, but to his SK Beteiligungs GmbH. This holding company, in turn, is 100 percent owned by him. Thus, Kurz remains the beneficial owner of SK Management, just indirectly through his holding company.

Large sums are also found there: SK Beteiligungs GmbH reported for 2024 a annual net profit of around 5.9 million euros from. This figure, too, must not be equated with Kurz's personal income. However, it shows what sums are now being moved within his corporate structure.

A rare insight into specific fees was provided in 2026. According to research Hungarian media and of the „Falter“ allegedly, SK Management received 10,000 euros per month in connection with the Hungarian Mathias Corvinus Collegium. Kurz confirmed the collaboration. In addition, around 110,000 euros were repaid in June 2026. His company stated that it had provided advice on the purchase and further development of Modul University and on establishing contacts in Austria.

How much of that ultimately ends up with Kurz personally still remains open. His stake in the billion-dollar company Dream also makes him very wealthy on paper, but reveals nothing about the salary or distributions he actually receives from it.

Sebastian Kurz and his family

Sebastian Kurz has been with Susanne Thier since his youth. The two already met during their school days. Their relationship has thus lasted significantly longer than Kurz's political career. Today they have two sons together: Konstantin was born in November 2021, and their second son Valentin came into the world in May 2025.

Thier herself largely stays out of the public eye. She studied business education and has worked in the Ministry of Finance for years. At least as of early 2025, she worked there in the communications and protocol department. While Kurz was practically present in the media daily as Chancellor, his partner gave hardly any interviews and only occasionally appeared at his side at official events.

A post shared by Sebastian Kurz (@sebastiankurz)
